We respect the privacy of the users of our website and recognise that when you choose to provide us with information about yourself, you trust us to treat that information in a responsible manner. This privacy policy contains important information about how Seafood People AS use your personal information.

At times we may request that you voluntarily supply us with personal information. Generally this information is requested when you want us to provide you with information. This might also be information from the registration of CV, a job application and/or when updating your profile via "My page". We may gather the following information about you:

  • Mobile device ID
  • Information provided by you in relation to submitting a job application to us (this may include sensitive personal information e.g. ethnic origin)
 
When you submit a job application or register your profile via the "Apply with LinkedIn" or "Apply with Jobreg" feature, the system will retrieve available information from your profile into our recruitment system and this information will be stored in your profile.
 
We collect data in aggregated form from site visitors, that includes traffic data, location data and so on.
 
In some cases, we will save the email correspondence in your profile, when you contact us.
 
How do we use this information?
 
Seafood People AS will use this information in the following ways:
 
  • To deliver our services to you and communication around these services.
  • To provide you with information that you have requested i.e. relevant job opportunities, newsletter, different services we offer etc.
  • To respond to specific queries you may have regarding Seafood People AS.
  • To process and consider your job application, make an assessment of your qualifications and facilitate in regards to current and future recruitment assignments.
  • To provide you with better ways of assessing information from this website.
  • To provide and maintain our statutory obligations.

Do we pass on your information to third parties?
 
Seafood People AS will be able to process your personal information. Your information may also with your consent be presented to clients and/or other partners.
 
We may send your personal information to other group companies, affiliates and third parties to help us process your personal information for the purposes set out in this policy.
In order to be able to use your data efficiently and to offer you the best services, it is sometimes necessary to send information to third parties. These third parties have separate and independent privacy policies. Seafood People AS is not responsible for the content and activities of the related services. Nevertheless, we want to protect the integrity of the services we provide and gladly welcome feedback in these areas.
 
We may disclose personal information to third parties when we reasonably believe we are required by law, and in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual unlawful or otherwise prohibited activities, including, but not limited to, fraud.
 
Where do we send your information?
 
We are a global company and therefore we may transfer your personal information to countries around the world including the US and other countries outside Europe. We will, where necessary, put in place appropriate safeguards to ensure your information is protected.
 
Coordinator and Data Processor
 
Seafood People AS is the party responsible for the input and management of the data added to our system. Recruitment Manager AS is the data processor responsible for the system solution; it develops, operates and maintains the system where your data is located. Recruitment Manager AS uses subcontractors to perform data processing tasks.
 
There is a separate data processing agreement between Seafood People AS and Recruitment Manager AS that regulates which information the data processor has access to and how the information is to be processed.  
 
View, edit or delete your personal information
 
You have, as registered in the system, the right to demand access, rectification and deletion of your personal information as described in sections 18, 27 and 28 of the Personal Information Act. The claim must be answered free of charge and no later than 30 days.
 
If you wish to withdraw your consent, your profile will be deleted.
 
As a candidate, you can delete your own profile at any time from "Your Profile" in the recruitment system, or you can contact Seafood People AS for assistance. You can also edit the information you have added to your profile in the system.
 
How long do we keep your information for?
 
We will keep your information for a reasonable period for the purposes set out above.
