Norway Director

Norway Director 

Wellfish Tech is looking for an experienced and proactive Norway Director with extensive contacts and experience of the Norwegian aquaculture market. The primary aim of this position is accelerate adoption of our ground breaking technology and provide real value to our customers by leading a small team based in our Bergen facility. The initial focus will be on commercial activities and the position will attract a salary and benefits package to attract outstanding candidates.

Main responsibilities:

• Overall leadership and direction in Norway
• Develop and implement commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth
• Direct and motivate key employees to the management team
• Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.)
• Responsible for managing the annual operating budget, forecast, and communication of various business needs to support and service companies
• Understand the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met
• Act to acquire new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing)
• Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (marketing, sales, customer service etc.)
• Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders
• Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management
• Assist in setting financial targets and budget development and monitoring
• Maintain and develop an ongoing operational plan
• Participate in strategic planning with the executive team
• Build networks inside and outside of the organization
• Commitment to innovation and continuous improvement

Qualifications and experience:

• Proven experience as Director or other relevant roles
• Proven experience in sales and/or marketing and managing relationships with key clients
• Strong knowledge within the aquaculture industry in Norway and have a genuine interest in fish health
• In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis
• Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes
• Organisational and leadership skills
• Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English
