Due to continued growth we are now looking for a new Plant Manager to drive continuous improvement and streamline all processes. You will have the daily responsibility for the operation of the factory in collaboration with the Quality Manager, Technical Manager and Production Manager.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
- Lead the employees and plan operations in the short and long term
- Organise the technical department in such a way that both maintenance and further development of the factory are taken care of
- Ensure that cost calculations and fillet yields are continously revised
- Be the top manager for the quality work in collaboration with the Quality Manager
- Ensure close cooperation and an effective dialogue with the sales department
- Reporting of operations to the Management and the Board in accordance with established budgets and KPI’s
- Plan, organise, direct and manage optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
- Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff in collaboration with Production Manager
- Continously collect and analyse data to find areas of improvement
- Plan and implement rotation plans, shift arrangements and holiday arrangements
Qualifications and requirements:
We are looking for you if you can provide a clear sense of direction in communication with staff and share our ambition of building a world class salmon processing company. You must have solid industry experience and practice in managing employees from many countries. You must be courageous and able to collaborate across organizational boundaries.
Experience and knowledge of Baader machines is an advantage. You are a credible and ambitious leader who dares to challenge. You are creative and genuinely concerned with building a good corporate culture and a good working environment. Through open communication, you create trust among your employees, in addition to becoming a constructive and proactive sparring partner for the Management team and the Board.
In this role you will demonstrate specialist knowledge and expertise and participate in continuous professional development. To be successful in this position we believe it is essential that you enjoy being in charge. As Plant Manager it is essential that you adhere to company rules and procedures, and execute plans with commitment. You always work to achieve high-quality results. You can encourage the team by inspiring and keeping them focused on the objectives. As a leader, you create a stable and re-assuring work atmosphere where you support the team. You develop people through delegation, empowerment, and coaching.
You have completed relevant higher education (bachelor or master’s level). Experience from similar roles and knowledge of salmon processing may compensate.
Excellent communication skills in English at a professional level, both written and verbal is essential. Scandinavian language is an advantage but not a criteria.
