Krüger Kaldnes AS is Norway's leading water contractor and supplies total solutions for wastewater treatment, water treatment, rehabilitation and service to municipalities, to the industry and to aquaculture operators. For almost 20 years, Krüger Kaldnes has provided the aquaculture industry, both in Norway and abroad, with solutions and technologies for water treatment. As part of Veolia Water Technologies, the company can offer a diverse range of world-leading technologies and products. Our most well-known technologies related to aquaculture include biological purification with Kaldnes® Mowing Bed process and particle separation with Hydrotech drum and disc filters.
This position is placed organizationally in Veolia Aquaculture, but the employee will be employed by Krüger Kaldnes AS.
The position as ‘Fish Health Specialist’ is newly created and will be part of the fish-health team within the field of aquaculture with responsibility and authority within this field. The position will interact with colleagues in the company, clients' representatives and public authorities. Key tasks will be to develop and ensure good fish health and optimal conditions for our clients. There will be extensive contact with public authorities and ongoing follow-ups with clients. It will also, in collaboration with clients, include tasks related to sampling, statistics, optimization of lining and everything else that naturally belongs to good fish welfare and ensuring optimal operations. It is also assumed that the Fish Health Specialist contributes significantly in research and development in cooperation with external partners, colleagues and other relevant parties. Key tasks for this team are the preparation of bio-plans and solutions for customers and projects.
The position has been added to Veolia Aquaculture / Krüger Kaldnes office in Drammen. It is an advantage if the candidate is resident or willing to settle in a ‘reasonable’ distance from the company's office in Drammen. Applicants should expect some travel in the position.
The position as Fish Health Specialist in Krüger Kaldnes, in addition to formal requirements, also requires relevant experience with operational work within fish farming. We assume the right candidate already has some years of experience with a history of conducting relevant tasks. The following requirements are mandatory in order to apply for this position:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in aquaculture, fish health or biology
• Solid operational experience from aquaculture in Norway or abroad
• Mastery of a Scandinavian language, preferably Norwegian (Oral and written)
• Knowledge of HSE and general safety when working on fish farms
Knowledge of current regulations in aquaculture, auditing, Global Gap, HSE and reporting to public authorities is considered a positive.
